Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: 23 June 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) describes activities that are prohibited on Cloud Hosting Africa. It exists to keep the platform safe, reliable, and lawful for everyone. Violations may result in suspension or termination without refund.

1. Prohibited content & activity

  • Anything illegal under applicable law, including the sale or distribution of illegal goods or content.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — strictly prohibited and reported to authorities.
  • Malware, viruses, ransomware, botnets, or command-and-control infrastructure.
  • Phishing, fraud, identity theft, or impersonation.
  • Unsolicited bulk email (spam) or any activity that lands our IP ranges on blocklists.
  • Content that infringes intellectual property or violates the privacy of others.

2. Network & security abuse

  • Denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks, port scanning, or intrusion attempts against any system.
  • Unauthorised access to any network, server, or account.
  • Circumventing usage limits, billing, or resource isolation.

3. Resource use

Services share underlying infrastructure. Activity that degrades performance for other customers — such as sustained resource abuse, abusive crypto-mining, or excessive I/O — may be throttled or suspended. Crypto-mining is only permitted on plans explicitly designated for it, if any.

4. Email sending

If you send email from our Services, you are responsible for compliance with anti-spam laws, maintaining proper authentication (SPF/DKIM), and honouring unsubscribe requests.

5. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend or remove offending content or services. For severe or repeated violations we may terminate your account. Where required, we cooperate with law enforcement.

6. Reporting abuse

To report a violation, email [email protected] with details. We take all reports seriously.
